Website Launch and Promotion

Thank you for your patience! We finally have launched our Karma Surf School website, after a long period of orientation, developing and testing and are happy to start fresh in 2020 to teach you surfing in high quality lessons.

Unfortunately this years seasons start is pretty much affected by the covid-19 pandemic and sure gives us a hard nut to crack, too. We are confident though, that as soon as travelling will be possible and safe again, we will make sure to keep up the good and fun spirit and provide you with the best surf experience in Portugal you can possibly have.

Many got to know our high quality concept already by staying with us at Karma Surf Retreat, but for those who don't know us yet: expect the best surf lessons and service and be prepared for lots of fun!

We are based at two destinations:

• south coast of West-Algarve in Budens (between Lagos and Sagres) and
• near Lisbon at Guincho beach (near Cascais and Sintra).

Our surf school is fully licensed and accredited by the Portuguese Surfing Federation (FPS) and Portuguese Board of Tourism. All our surf instructors hold surfing teacher certificates of FPS, ISA (International Surfing Association) or other official association, as well as beach life guard qualification. We are all very passionate about surfing, have years of experience, love to teach and see you smile and having a good time in our favorite environment.

As mobile surf schools who hold licenses to teach at various beaches along the west and south coast of each destination, we are able to show and surf with you not at only one, but many different beaches - wherever we have best surf conditions to teach you surfing. Wind and wave directions change daily and therefore surf spots with the right conditions as well.

Surf lessons are only held in suitable conditions matching the students level of ability to surf, e.g. for beginners that is waist high water with small whitewater (broken) waves on a sandy beach.

For those who already have done beginners surf course, already mastering surfing whitewater waves we are offering the next level surf lessons for intermediate surfers. Here you will learn how to surf green (unbroken) waves and even complete first maneuvers. These courses are held in very small groups (max 4 students) with 1 teacher.

If you are already a good surfer, but want to work on perfection, learn advanced maneuvers, how to surf demanding and difficult waves or simply prepare for competition, we offer as well surf lessons for advanced surfers with best results as personal coaching / private lessons.

Finally, surf guiding is the right choice, if you are a experienced intermediate surf and are just looking for someone to join you surfing, showing and explaining you the best surf spots of the area matching your skills at any given time.

That's how we start for now, but we will constantly add services, so you can enjoy and choose from various outdoor activities in the water or on land. Even short weekend surf trips. Surf and other sports equipment will be available to rent as well.
