That’s when years of experience of a passionate local surfer comes in handy and saves heaps of time! Your local “surf buddy” who has been surfing and studying each spot for years and can tell you which spot works best for you at any given time.

FAQ

You should at least be able to swim on your own, as we will surf various spots and also long paddles into the lineup.
Not really. For surf guiding you should be able to paddle into and surf green waves on your own. The guide’s role is to get you to the best beaches according to your skillset and ocean-/wind conditions and explain beach and lineup and be good company in the water. He might give you some tipps and advise, but beginners or intermediates looking for instructions and learn how to surf should book a surf lesson for beginners or intermediates.
For surfing you can have all material (wetsuit & surfboards in different sizes) from us. You should have a towel and bikini/shorts/speedo to wear underneath the wetsuit, if you prefer to. We do recommend bringing sun screen (or blocker/ zinc) and something cozy to wear (hoodie, beanie) after the surf lesson in case the weather and water conditions might cool you down a bit.
Since we are a mobile surf school, we will choose the best beach break for you to surf, depending on wind / wave conditions and according to your skills and goals. The surf spot will be announced before the lesson. We will surf beaches at the south and the west coast in a radius of about 45 minutes driving from our surf schools base, usually choosing the nearest best surf spot possible.
Depending on skillset of each participant groups sizes usually do not exceed 3 persons. Individual 1:1 surf guiding is also possible.
